Singapore’s 14th Parliament: New PAP MPs tell of their journey so far

The first six weeks on the job have been a mix of experiences for newly minted MPs as they balance house visits, Meet-the-People Sessions and community engagements with jobs and family. Insight speaks to nine PAP MPs to hear what their journey has been like.

While freshly minted MP Don Wee has learnt much from visiting residents, he has also been learning from paying his last respects to them.

Attending residents’ wakes is something he has had to do during his first weeks as a Chua Chu Kang GRC MP, and one wake early this month stood out for him.
