Tyra Banks has a message for viewers of “Dancing with the Stars”: She’s getting “back up again.”
On Tuesday, the “Dancing with the Stars” host, 46, addressed her critics following her second episode at the helm.
“Tonight I hosted the second episode of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ that I’m hosting this season, and it wasn’t perfect,” Banks said in a TikTok video. “Yeah, I had a lot of fun, but I messed up, I said the wrong words, but the thing is, I kept, kept going.”
Banks, who replaced “Dancing with the Stars” hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews in July, then called out Skai Jackson, the 18-year-old contender who slightly stumbled during Tuesday’s Samba performance, but trudged ahead.
“She kind of fell during her dance, and she got back up and she kept going, and because of that, she’s here for another week,” Banks continued. “So the message is, I messed up this week, Skai messed up this week, but we’re going to keep on going and going, alright. So, forgive yourself when you mess up. Stand the heck up and keep going.”
Banks also said pay no attention to the “haters.”
“And tell the haters, ‘What? What? I don’t know your name, what?’” she continued.
Banks’ “Dancing with the Stars” debut was met with mixed reactions online last week, with some yearning for Bergeron and Andrews.
